Happy French Language Day!
Today is UN French Language Day and, as Canadians, this day has special significance for us. Not only does a large portion of our country’s population speak French, but many of our children participate in French Immersion programs across the country, even if their families speak English or other languages at home. And many Canadian students, even if they opt not to take immersion programs, take core French programs at School.
